I started Cocoon in 2003 without much of a plan except that I wanted to share natural skincare ingredients with the world because the beauty industry at the time was far too reliant on petrochemicals and missing some amazing plants in their formulas. I wasn’t sure what that looked like at first but the more I researched, the more I felt compelled to start blending them myself. This tapped into a passion that I didn’t know I had and that;s how Cocoon Apothecary evolved into the skincare company it is today. Plants have so much to offer the skin. They have the same molecules that our body produces naturally so when our moisture levels go down with aging we can replenish them with nourishing plant versions. Aging has a lot to do with free radicals caused by UV rays, pollution, and other stressors.
